The fire burned about 65 acres; the cause is under investigation
Original story:
An evacuation warning has been issued for an area east of New Washoe City and south of Toll Road due to the Diablo Fire southeast of Pleasant Valley.
Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue posted on X that the fire has burned approximately 75 acres of grass and sage on Bureau of Land Management land, and air resources have been requested.
No structures were immediately threatened.
In addition to Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue crews, the BLM and Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Storey County fire departments are responding.
