Wyoming Volleyball opened its fall practice session Thursday afternoon.
The Cowgirls, who finished last season with a 17-13 overall mark, including 13-5 in the Mountain West, are entering year four under the tutelage of Head Coach Kaylee Prigge.
This season, UW will be led by two-time All-Mountain West Team performer Paige Lauterwasser, a senior.
Other returnees include Rya Fingerlin, Abi Milby (Casper, Wyoming), Sara Quigley, Reagan Sharp, Maddy Stucky, Addy Thorington (Powell, Wyoming), Evelyn Udezue, Anna Williams and Emma Winter.
This year’s squad features seven newcomers, four freshmen and three transfers, including Casper native Peyton Carruth, who played at Casper College last season.
The Cowgirls will host their annual Brown & Gold Scrimmage August 15 at 1:30 p.m, then travel to Greely, Colorado for a couple of exhibition games against Northern Colorado on Aug. 21 and 22, in Greeley.
The non-conference season will start on August 28 and 29 with home matches against Texas Tech and St.
Thomas.
