Google's Take on Apple's AirTag May Have Just Leaked 29%

If you're looking for a Bluetooth tracker to keep tabs on your stuff, your choice may be platform-dependent.
Over in the Apple ecosystem, your first (and perhaps best) choice is an AirTag , made by none other than Apple itself for its Find My network.
On Android, you have more options, but not in quite the same way as Apple: Samsung has a tracker that works best with its Galaxy devices, while Tile has its own proprietary network .
You would think the best choice would come from Google directly, seeing as the company also develops Android-but that isn't the case.
Not only is Google not the default option here, it isn't an option at all.
Despite creating Android and maintaining its Find Hub network (similar to Apple's Find My), the company doesn't have a tracker device of its own.
It's a missed opportunity, as not only Pixel users could benefit, but all Android users on Find Hub.
As it turns out, that might be about to change.
The Google Pixel Tag may be on its way
9to5Google reports that it obtained an image of the "Google Pixel Tag," at the same time the purported product has appeared in online listings.
As of this article, no U.S. stores appear to have Google Pixel Tag listing; though 9to5Google points to two international listings for the tracker.

Google being Google, the Pixel Tag is a bit unique from other trackers on the market.
While Apple's AirTag is a disc, Google's is an oval; it's somewhat similar to Samsung's SmartTag, though Samsung's take comes with a large circle for attaching items to the tag.
Google's is solid all the way through. 9to5Google compares it to a Fitbit Air without the band, which isn't that far off.
We're in the earliest stages of leaks and rumors here, so it's not clear whether this really is the Google Pixel Tag, or whether Google even plans to release a tracker.
That being said, this image seems very legit, and is something I wouldn't be surprised to see Google put out.
In addition, Google is getting ready to announce the Pixel 11 in just a couple of weeks , which would be the perfect time to announce a companion product like the Google Pixel Tag.
