“An adult male called stating he found his parents deceased inside their room,” said Sgt.
Michael Ritchie with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division.
Ritchie said deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the home where the couple, who were in their 70s, were pronounced deceased.
“This was an elderly couple that had been married, and unfortunately it looks like the husband shot the wife and then turned the weapon on himself,” Ritchie said.
Detectives are interviewing family members, including the son who was detained on scene.
The names of the couple were not released.
