The now-former executive director of Radio Milwaukee has been charged with a felony after prosecutors allege he sexually assaulted a child, according to a criminal complaint filed Aug.
4.
Jordan Lee, 44, is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 12.
If convicted, Lee faces up to 60 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum of 25 years of confinement.
Prosecutors also said they will seek lifetime supervision.
Radio Milwaukee confirmed that Lee's employment with the station ended July 23.
"We are horrified by the allegations included in the complaint that was filed today.
Jordan Lee’s employment ended at Radio Milwaukee on July 23.
We are sad and hurting for the victims and pray for their eventual healing," a spokesperson for the station said.
Police say Lee acknowledged touching the child in messages
According to the complaint:
On Oct. 28, 2025, a Milwaukee police officer received a phone call from a psychiatrist regarding an email she had received from a patient identified as Lee.
In the email, Lee described an incident he said occurred during the weekend of Oct. 25-26, 2025, when he said he "woke up" to himself touching a young girl's lower stomach.
Lee said he told the child he had been dreaming about tickling her.
The woman also provided police with screenshots of text messages between herself and Lee.
In one message, Lee allegedly wrote, "I told her I must’ve had a dream that we were having a tickle fight."
He later wrote, "I’m reflecting on this now and thinking in the past I believe I did touch her privates."
The woman also provided investigators with a lengthy iPhone note Lee had sent her in which he acknowledged that it was not safe for him to be around children.
Lee spent more than 15 years at Radio Milwaukee
Lee, a Kenosha native and longtime figure in Milwaukee's music and radio scene, spent more than 15 years across two stints at Radio Milwaukee, according to an April 2025 Milwaukee Magazine article.
Lee, who performed under the name DJ Madhatter, told the Journal Sentinel in December 2009 that he began DJing while playing in a high school band that included two rappers and a DJ.
At the time, he was working as a morning show host and DJ at 88Nine Radio Milwaukee.
Lee first joined Radio Milwaukee in 2008.
He later served as assistant program director, program director and station director, according to Milwaukee Magazine.
He left his full-time position in January 2022 and returned to the station in November 2023 as senior director of programming.
Lee also helped create and launch HYFIN, Radio Milwaukee's service dedicated to Black music and culture, according to Milwaukee Magazine.
He became interim executive director in January 2025 and was named executive director in April 2025.
