A 58-year-old man died Friday night after his boat struck a dock multiple times and capsized at Captree State Park in Suffolk County, according to New York State Police.
The incident happened at about 8:37 p.m.

Boat capsizes during launch
The man was attempting to launch a 16-foot Boston Whaler when the vessel struck the docks several times before capsizing, state police said.
The man's body was recovered from underneath the vessel and transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigation continues
State police said the incident remains under investigation.
