A man carrying ammunition on his person and possessing a loaded pistol in his car was arrested at the Trump National Golf Club in Southern California on Sunday, according to multiple reports, just days before President Donald Trump’s visit to the club for a Republican National Committee fundraising event. 
Trump is attending the event Tuesday evening and is expected to make a speech. 
The man was arrested after appearing to monitor security preparations at the club, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department saying he was taking photos and video. 
The man, who is being investigated for robbery in Los Angeles, was arrested for allegedly carrying a concealed firearm and carrying prohibited ammunition. 
The sheriff’s department noted there is “no credible threat to our communities” following the arrest. 
Federal agents searched the man’s home on Monday and found body armor, high-capacity magazines, an AR-style rifle, a .45-caliber pistol and notebooks containing “concerning statements,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
