WATERFORD, Mich.  A mother and her 2-month old son reportedly drowned in their Waterford apartment bathtub. 
Waterford Police and Fire department say they responded to Whispering Woods Apartments for a reported drowning at around 10:30 p.m. on July 31. 
According to personnel upon arrival they found the 36-year-old mother and her son in the bathtub, initiated life saving measures and transported the two to area hospitals nearby. 
Authorities say both mother and child were pronounced dead at separate area hospitals. 
An autopsy conducted by the Oakland County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death for both the mother and child was drowning.
